Carted around

See me sitting by myself in the cart? I was a big girl and went grocery shopping with Mommy. I rode up front with the milk! It was cold and I had fun scratching at it.
I had a good Monday. I slept very well last night and only got up one time at about two to eat. When I woke up I ate a good breakfast and played until naptime. It was sunny and I sat by the window.
When I woke up, Parker was here! He was fussy until he made a BIG stinky one. I know how he feels. After that we both took a nap. After nap was grocery shopping. It took longer than Mommy thought because our cashier was brand new and very nervous. But I was good and played with Mom's keys until it was time to go. Daddy met us at the door and grabbed me to play with me. He got more than he bargained for though! It was my turn to stink.
Now Dad and I are playing for a couple minutes. He has a deacon's meeting tonight, so Mom and I are on our own. Maybe we'll go for a walk before bathtime and bedtime. I hope so!

Springtime is here!

Spring is here! It's warm and sunny and I can take walks with Mommy and Daddy. I don't have to get all bundled up like I did in the winter.
Yesterday, I hung out with Daddy. We had a fun day! I ate lots and was so good. At night we went over to Anika and Hayden's house. Parker was there too! Our Moms and Dads all got together to eat pizza. I got carrots instead. I laughed with Anika and played with Hayden. When we got home, I went right to bed and slept so well!
When I got up, Mom fed me a new food. Pears! I liked them so much I begged for more and Mommy gave me what I wanted! I ate half a jar! I got dressed up and we went to church. I stayed in the nursery, and just fussed a little bit. I was sleepy! I fell asleep and slept all the way to Great grandma's house. Almost all Mom's cousins were there! The house was so full there were almost not enough chairs. I think Great-grandma likes it when all her family visits. I like visiting her! I woke up just before it was time to leave. I got to see Allison! She had a pretty dress on, but she had scraped up knees! She fell this morning, but it didn't hurt too much.
When we got home, Dad loaded me in the stroller and we walked to the park to see the tulips! I thought they were pretty! The flowers are just starting to bloom. There will be many more later this week. I'll talk Mom and Dad into another walk then. I bet they'll take more pictures! Tulip Time starts on Saturday, and we might go back to the park so I can see the dancers and Dad can have an oliebollen!
I did not go to church tonight because I was sleepy and crabby. I ate a huge dinner of rice cereal and peas. Now I'm awake and playing with Daddy. He makes me laugh when he tickles me! Mom had me all ready for bed, but I'm just not ready yet! I have to play and giggle just a little longer!

Long day!

Wow, Mom has to catch up, here! I was out late last night. I was a happier baby yesterday, and Mom and Dad and I went out last night.
I got up a little early and had a big stinky diaper for Daddy! He has been changing my morning diapers when he gets up for work. He's had bad ones three days in a row! Mom is so proud of me, and of Dad for not waking her up!
I ate lots and lots again, and played by the window. It was rainy and chilly so I couldn't go outside. Maybe today Daddy will take me out!
When Dad got home, we went to Target to pick up my pictures. Mom and Dad like them! I'm making a package to send to Grandma and Grandpa in New Jersey! Then we went shopping for a little while. Mom got a new phone! Dad played with it all night, when he wasn't playing with me.
We went to Grandma and Grandpa's to share my pictures. Grandma put one in a frame on her shelf and another one on her fridge. While we were there, Aunt Ellen, Uncle Nate and Ally came over! They had been out for dinner and to get some paint. I was so excited to see them! I squealed and waved my hands up and down.
Then I was getting hungry and tired, so Mom changed and fed me and got me ready to ride back home. I fussed a little when we got home, but Daddy put me right to sleep. I got up a couple times last night to eat, but now I am sleeping in for Daddy!

Sad Sara

Yes, it's true. I've been a sad Sara the last couple days. Not all the time, but more than usual. I just need to fuss a little!
Yesterday I went to Grandma's house, and I was fussy for her. I was just not my usual happy self. I did eat a lot, though! My dinner was two bowls of cereal and carrots.
I was happy to see Mommy when she came to get me! Mom gave me Tylenol and more to eat. I've been a hungry, hungry girl. Maybe I'm having another growth spurt? Give me food!
Today I woke up early and was a little sad. I ate a lot again today - breakfast, lunch and dinner! I had cereal, apples, peas and carrots. I just didn't want Mommy to put me down so we did a lot of cuddling, singing and reading stories.
When Dad got home, he took me for a ride in the jogger. It's a bike trailer that can be a stroller, too! We had fun while Mommy took a break. It was so warm and comfy that I fell right to sleep by the time we got home! But I had to wake up to eat my dinner and squeal to Grandma on the phone. She had to know that I was doing better!
Now that I am full of a big bowl of oatmeal and a big helping of carrots, Daddy is changing me into non carrotty clothes. I bet we're going upstairs to rock because my eyes are getting blinky. Yawn!

Curtain, please!

Ha ha! Can you see me? I think playing with curtains is so much fun. Now Mommy sees me, now she doesn't! I could get away with all kinds of stuff back here!
It was warm today, so I got to wear my new shorts. Mom and Grandma say my chubby legs look so cute in them!
I slept very well last night, and slept in this morning. Mom was happy, and my diaper was very wet! I finally got up and ate my cereal and apples all gone! Then I played with my tractor and rolled around until nap time. Tummy time is over because I can roll over right away!
After my nap, we went to Great Grandma's house. Ally and Buck were there, and so were Arend and Catherine. I had lots of fun grabbing Buck's toys and talking with him. Ally told me she will be two next week! Wow. She's so big!
When we got home, I got a stroller ride. When we got to the corner by our house, Daddy met us and picked me right out of my stroller! He misses me when he's at work. I grinned and giggled and went inside for dinner.
After dinner, I played a bit and then Dad convinced me it was bedtime. Now I'm cuddled up in my crib with Sleepytime Blanket. It's my favorite; I like to cuddle it when I snooze. I think I'll be a good sleeper tonight!

Another sunny day!

I'm back to being a good sleeper! Mom and Dad are so happy. Today was a good napping and eating and playing day. I was outside just a little bit since it isn't as warm as it was this weekend.
I woke up happy and ate some rice with apples and some applesauce. I didn't spit it out! I played a little and took a good relaxing nap. Parker came over while I was napping, and we hung out for a few hours. See me reading Moo Baa to him! I put him right to sleep. Anika and Hayden and their Mom were here for a little while too, and we played with Old MacDonald's tractor. I like that song!
I took a good long afternoon nap and didn't wake up until Daddy got home! He fed me my oatmeal and carrots. Then we spackled by the sink while Mom went to the store. She can get things done so much quicker if I'm not with her. She got curtains for the slider that keep the sun out of my eyes. I like them.
I'm getting ready for bed now. I'll sleep well until midnight snack time!

End of my weekend

I like my weekends. I get to hang out with Mommy and Daddy all day long! See me being silly on Mommy's lap. I was a wiggly girly yesterday night. I was so charged up from my outdoor adventures. I did sleep a little better than the last few nights, though. Maybe I'll be even better tonight! Daddy's working on me right now.
I got up about eight again, and got all pretty for church in my white dress with pink bows and trim. I went in the nursery and played a little and took a little nap. Then we went to Great Grandma's and saw everybody. I sat on the floor and laughed at Allison. She told me that her little brother is "Gus". I don't think Uncle Nate and Aunt Ellen are going to name him that for real, though.
I took a good long nap in the afternoon before I got ready for church again. I had more fun in the nursery! When we got home, I got a stroller ride. I shook my rattle and bounced in my seat the whole way.
I said hello to Grandma and Grandpa on the phone while I was getting changed for bed. I had my nighttime snack and now I'm thinking about bed. Just thinking about it though...not sure if it's a good idea just yet. Why do Mommy and Daddy look so sleepy????

Beach babe!

It was a beautiful sunny warm day here in Michigan! See me sitting at the beach! I did all sorts of fun stuff today. I'll start at the beginning.
I was fussy yesterday evening, but got a little better by early morning. I slept in until about eight o'clock after my five a.m. feeding. Mom and Dad enjoyed the sleep in as much as I did! Then I got up and ate my rice with apples and played with Turtle and Ozzy while Dad worked at the sink and toilet. He's almost done! All that's left is to patch the wall by the sink and put the sink up when all the plumbing is in order. I took a short morning nap while it warmed up outside.
When I got up, I went next door to swing with Ellie and Anna. Their Mom and Dad are working at putting a new sliding door to the back porch. I had so much fun! Then I sat outside on my blanket playing with my toys while Mom read a book. She didn't get very far because I wanted to play with her! So we read one of my stories and played with pop bottles (or soda bottles, as Daddy calls them). Then it was time for one more nap.
When I woke up from my nap, I had a very exciting afternoon! Mom and Dad took me to the beach! It was bright and sunny, but I had my sun hat on. We sat by the channel at Holland State Park. I laughed and giggled at everyone, and Dad took pictures of me. We saw Mom's Uncle Bern and Aunt Linda there. They showed off a picture of Aidan, their new grandson. Mom tells me he is my second cousin. More babies for me to meet!
Then we went up in the sand dunes. Mom took my socks off so I could feel the warm sand. I liked it! I picked up a handful and it just ran through my fingers. I squealed at it. Daddy buried my toes in it. I had fun playing! I think I'll ask Mom and Dad to go there again sometime soon.
Then I was tired, so I took a short nap while Mom and Dad went to Target to get some stuff for the laundry room. They got another mirror for me to look in! I woke up to eat my dinner of oatmeal and carrots. I sat and played while Mom and Dad ate, and then my eyes started to blink. Dad is rocking me and putting me in my crib now. I'll sleep well after my exciting day!

Did you miss me?

Did you all miss me? It' been a busy week, and I've been a little fussy and demanding of Mommy's time in the evenings. So I'll catch you up on everything!
Wednesday Mommy worked, so I stayed by Grandma. I was pretty good, but a little unhappy about napping. I played with Ally and she gave me Eskimo kisses on my nose. I wish I could get up and play with her! I watch everything she does. I went to bed early for Daddy, but I didn't stay that way. I was up a lot, and couldn't find my sleep. I was a little sneezy and drooly. Mom and Dad hope it gets better because they are tired.
Thursday Grandpa Algera came to see me all the way from New Jersey! I ate lunch with him and we read books. We went for a walk in the afternoon. We even found the sock I lost on Monday!
Then I went to some garage sales with Grandma, Aunt Ellen and Ally. I got clothes and toys. I rode in my stroller and played with my rattle. Ally was a little fussy, so we went to Grandma's house and I ate some of her pudding! It was good! Mom wishes that I would eat my vegetables like that.
I didn't sleep well at all last night, though. I kept Mom and Dad up until they didn't know what to do. I did have a big, huge dirty diaper in the early morning and that seemed to help a little. I got three hours of sleep after that. Yawn!
Today, Parker came over again. We were good for Mom. We both got dirty diapers at the same time! Mom did assembly line diapers - you can see the pictures on Flickr. I napped better today, so Mom hopes tonight will be OK, too.
Grandpa is here tonight, too! We sat outside while Mom and Dad cleaned the garage. We watched squirrels and talked to Grandma on the phone. I tried to grab all Grandpa's stuff. I even got his pen out of his shirt pocket!
I just finished my rice with apples and a few bites of carrots! Now it's time for my bath and then bed. Goodnight!

Move and giggle!

I didn't really want to sit still today. I wanted to play and move and sing silly songs. I got fussy when Mom tried to put me down. I was OK sitting outside for a while, though. There is so much to see! And Ozzy was very brave and came out to sit with me!
I went to the grocery store with Mom in the morning. We were almost out of baby Tylenol! That would never do. My mouth is bugging me. I drool a lot and fuss at night. When is that tooth going to show! Turtle's snorkel will be chewed off if it waits much longer.
In the afternoon we went to visit Great grandma. Uncle Nate's car needed work, so we went to pick Aunt Ellen and Allison up. Ally rode in the back seat with me! We could see each other and talk all the way to Grandma's! How much fun!
Now I'm home. I've inhaled my oatmeal and a tiny little bit of sweet potato. I still make funny faces when Mom feeds me that stuff.
Dad and I are singing silly songs. I'm bouncing to "Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini." I'm sitting on Dad's lap waving my toes and munching on them. Toes have been fascinating me lately. I even tried to chew on Mommy's toes! It made her laugh because it tickled. Mom and Dad seem to laugh a lot at the stuff I do. I'm just trying to learn all about my world!

Sunny Monday

Ahhhh...back to my routine. I like Mondays. I sleep and eat very well and have fun relaxing. I was a little fussy at night but it was better by the morning. It was bright and sunny and I sat and enjoyed it. My rice with apples tasted good, and I laughed and played until my nap.
When I woke up from my nap, Parker was here! His mommy had to go back to work today, so Mommy and I watched him for a while. He's a very small baby so he can't sit up and play with me yet. He just ate his bottles and napped. I tried to sneak his pacifier away but Mom caught me. I read Moo Baa to him because it's my favorite. Mom gives me Pig to hold when we read it. Stories are fun! Grandma works around lots of stories, and she'll make sure I love them (and bring the books back on time and in good shape!)
When Dad got home, we went for a walk! It's a little cold so Mom bundled me up in my fuzzy poncho from Grandma. I like to look up and Mom and Dad while we're rolling. They look funny upside down! I look around a lot while we stroll, but towards the end I get very warm and relaxed. It's a great way to wind down at the end of the day.
Dad helped me eat my oatmeal when we got home. I was very hungry and gulped it down. Then I had a little milk and got sleepy. So Dad rocked me for a couple minutes until I got too drowsy to fuss. I rolled onto my side, gave a couple peeps and went right to sleep. What a great day!

A very loud baby

I wanted everyone to know I was around today. I've been very talkative and giggly. I woke Mom up this morning by talking in my crib. Mom and Dad wish they knew what I was saying, because I was very interested in it.
I went to church and went to the nursery. There were so many kids there! I was good and only fussed for a couple minutes at the end. I was sleepy and missed Mommy. I snuggled right into my car seat and fell asleep for my nap. Mom napped too, because I was up a lot last night. Weekends tend to mix my schedule up.
I spent some time sitting in the sunbeam playing with my ball. This is my new favorite spot. I like to watch the squirrels, birds and kids outside my window. It's starting to be warmer, so I might get to be outside this week, too!
I tried a new cereal for breakfast today. It was rice with apples. I was a little confused at first, but I ate it all up! I like my cereal a lot. I open wide and make lots of noise until I get my bites! Baby food is not so much fun. Who needs vegetables!
I stayed in the nursery at night, too. Mom fed me right before church, so I fell right to sleep until Mom came to get me. It was just a cat nap, and now I'm awake and playing! I got a page of Mommy's magazine and ripped it right out. It wrinkles better than any paper I've tried before. So I'm laying on the floor rolling around and yelling. I'll probably tire out soon, and we'll snuggle to bed.

Taking a hike

No, we didn't take a hike. It was too cold today. But Daddy and I practiced using my baby backpack! I'll ride in it this summer when I hike with Mommy and Daddy. I'll probably wear my sunhat and shades! I want to be an outdoors girl.
Mommy worked today, so Dad and I had a fun day. Daddy got to change THREE stinky diapers. It's a record for him. Don't worry, he survived the toxicity. Dad was so impressed with himself he called Mom at work to tell her about her about his accomplishments.
I helped Dad install the bathroom sink. We aren't quite done, so I'll get another chance to be tool girl. I'll be using Dad's tools all by myself someday!
Daddy went to a Griffins hockey game tonight, so I spent a couple hours with Grandma and Grandpa until Mom picked me up after work. Someday I'll be big enough and I'll go with to games! For now, I have much more fun at Grandma's.
Now Mom is trying to get me to sleep. I just don't want to! I yelled in my crib until Mom gave in to snuggle me. Soon I'll nod off after my busy, busy day. Goodnight!

I got shots!

See my bandaids! I got two shots today. I visited the doctor for my six month check up. I'm a healthy baby! I weigh 15 lb, 11 oz and I'm 26 inches long. Just right for a girl my age! I was a very good girl at the doctor's office. I talked to the doctor and played with her stethoscope. The bench there has wrinkly paper on it and I had so much fun ripping at it while I got checked out. I cried a little bit when I got my shots, but I was smiling by the time we walked out the door to go home.
I was a little fussy before my afternoon nap, but now I'm up and squealing at Daddy. He's playing with me and my stacking rings. It makes me laugh and babble when he talks silly talk with me. He bounces me up and down in his arms and makes me giggle. I know that soon it will be time for cuddling and stories before bed. I'm just going to enjoy the last little bit of the sunshine today and then I'll be ready to snuggle into my warm crib.

I'm six months old!

I'm getting so big! I was born six months ago. Wow. Look how much I've learned! I can sit up, babble, eat food, grab Ozzy, laugh at Daddy and play with all my toys. I even have favorites - favorite people, toys, games, songs and stories. Can you wait to see what I'll do in the next six months?
Yesterday Mom worked, and Grandma was sick! I stayed home with Daddy. We had fun! It was a snowy, sleety day. Mom had to drive very carefully home from work. I was very good for Dad. He noticed that I am learning to hold my own bottle and I know how to get out from under blankets. I like playing Peekaboo!
Today I hung out with Mom. We went to Target to get my pictures taken. Grandma came with us, and I was so excited to see her! I smiled so big for my pictures and tried my best to be a big girl. I'll send some to my New Jersey family as soon as I can!
I really didn't want to go to bed tonight, I wanted to stay up and climb on Daddy. But he convinced me that I should sleep now. Dad is so good at getting me to bed! He amazes Mommy. I'll sleep well tonight because that is what big girls do!

Get that kitty!

I spent my day with Mommy, and what a good day it was! I started out sitting by my window with Ozzy. I love to try to get him! He was pretty relaxed with my petting today. Then I moved on to the stacking blocks and Turtle. We all enjoyed the sunshine.
After my nap we went out to get me more diapers. I go through them so fast, and it would be very bad if Mom and Dad ran out! I like looking at all the people from my seat in the cart.
We went to get Mom's hair cut after that. I was fascinated by the mirror and the bottles of hair stuff. I looked around and giggled and babbled to everyone I saw. I sat in my stroller and practiced pulling my pacifier in and out of my mouth. I'm getting really good at it!
We went to visit Great grandma Ophoff after that. Buckrey and Allison were there. Aunt Ellen and Mom wouldn't let Ally give me a hug or kiss because she has a bad cold. Grandma doesn't feel very well either. She was sick for her spring break! I hope she feels better soon.
When we got home, Mom tried giving me that baby food stuff again. Maybe someday I'll give in, but not today!
I got a package in the mail from Great grandma and Grandpa Algera. See my new bear! I pulled it's ears. It was much more understanding than Ozzy. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
I'm sleeping now, getting ready for another day. Good night!

Ahh Mondays

How I need my relaxing Mondays! I had a busy, busy weekend, so today I just hung out and unwound. I got up early in the morning and played with Daddy and Ozzy while Mom got a little bit of sleep time. Ozzy makes me laugh and babble. He won't come near me anymore because I can reach and get his ears or tail! But he's so funny when he plays with his shoestrings. Then Dad went to work and Mom woke up and we played until I just couldn't stay up anymore. I really got into my naps today. I had to catch up from yesterday!
Mom sat me down to look out into the backyard while she cleaned the kitchen. While I was sitting, a squirrel came right up to the window. It was black and had a big furry tail! I squealed and it ran away. There are such interesting things outdoors! I can't wait until it's warmer outside and the snow is gone. Then I'll be able to take my blanket outdoors and play.
We got our washer and dryer today, and now Mom is washing all my dirty clothes. She says I make more laundry than both Dad and Mom! I try my best! My tools are dirty diapers, spit, drool and oatmeal. On a good day, I can whip through three onesies.
Mom tried the green beans one last time today. I cried. I tried to look really pitiful, and I don't think she'll try them again for a while. I still eat my oatmeal with grins and giggles, though!
I had a fun day today, and I hope you all did, too!

Easter Sunday

It's Easter today! I heard the Bible story about Jesus being alive. I will probably need to hear it more times to learn it very well and understand it.
We went to church today and I wore my pretty dress from Grandma Zandstra. It was cold so I had to wear my sweater too. I stayed in the nursery and played with Hayden. I can't move around by myself yet, so he brings toys to me. He can already walk a little by himself! We talk in the baby language that our Moms don't really understand.
Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for coffee and lunch. I was so excited I skipped my nap! Mom took pictures of me in my pretty dress. All my aunts and uncles were there, and so was Ally. I sat in the swing and played while everyone else ate. Mom gave me a lick of her cheesecake. I liked it, but Mom wouldn't let me have any more than a tiny taste.
Grandma made me some ponchos from fuzzy yarn. I snuggle right into them! I'll wear them when I go out for my walks or anywhere I need something to keep me warm.
I went home and took a good long nap before church at night. I got to play in the nursery again, and had fun! When we got home, Grandma and Grandpa Algera called us, and I talked to them for a while. Now I'm getting sleepy, so I'm going upstairs to rock with Daddy. I need a rest after my busy weekend!

Butterflies!

Mom and Dad took me to see the butterflies at the Meijer Gardens today! I was so excited! First we walked through rooms full of bright pretty flowers that smelled so good. I kept my eyes wide open and looked at all of it. Then we went into a warm forest where the butterflies fluttered all around me. One even landed on my toes for a second or two. I loved it! I sat in my stroller while Mom rolled me around and the butterflies were all around me. I got to sit on the bench for a little while to get a better view. Wow! I giggled and babbled as loud as I could. I saw a Clearwing and a big blue one Dad said is a Common Morpho. There is even one called the Sara Longwing! It's black with blue on its wings and white stripes on the tips. How fun! There were a lot of people there to smile at and talk to, even some we knew! We saw Mom's Aunt Jeanne and Uncle Neal there with their family. How nice to say hi!
Then we went back out into the cold snowy outside. We went to see Aunt Ellen and Uncle Nate so Dad could borrow the air nail gun to finish the bathroom trim. Ally and I didn't get to see each other because we were both napping. I needed a little quiet after all my excitement. Now that we're home, Dad has finished the whole room and we are just waiting to get the washer and dryer! Mom can't wait because I've made a lot of dirty clothes in the last few days, with my drool and oatmeal.
I had my bath just now, and I love to splash! The water gets all over Mommy, but she doesn't seem to care. She laughs and splashes with me. Now I'm tired and Daddy is going to put me in my crib a little early. I didn't take very long naps today, so I need to catch up. Good naps to all!

Daddy's helper

Today I helped Daddy pull up the laundry room floor. See me with my screwdriver! Dad let me hold the crowbar, but it was just too heavy for me to use. Dad worked very hard and got the new floor all finished. He just has to nail on the baseboard and put the sink and toilet in and the room will be all done! Way to go Dad!
He did do a bad thing today, though. Dad picked me up when I woke up from my nap and brought me to Mom. He did not mention the fact that I was REALLY stinky. So Mom had to change my big stinky pants. Dad owes her a big midnight stink change, now!
I got another card today, addressed to me! I helped Mom open this one. It was from Great Grandma and Grandpa Algera. I held it and looked at the colors. Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!
We went to church tonight, and I was a very good girl. I didn't go in the nursery because there were so many kids and I was sleepy. So I laid my head on Mom's shoulder and didn't make a peep. Then we went to Russ' with Hayden and Anika (and their Mom and Dad) Everyone else got dessert, but I could only watch. So I played with Turtle in my car seat. Now we're home and I'm all ready for bed. We had to drive through lots of snow! Dad calls it lake effect. Its white and fluffy and there's lots of it!
I'll sleep better than last night, Mom hopes...I wanted to play at 3:00. I didn't want to eat or cuddle, I just wanted to play with fishies. Dad stayed up for a while, but then he needed some sleep. So Mom laid on the couch while I played until I got hungry and tired at 5. Silly me! Now Dad is going to rock me to sleep, so I must go relax. Good night!

Cold and snowy

Today I could not go for a walk or sit on my blanket. I could only look out the window at the cold, cold snow. So Mom and I played inside today, and I had a very giggly day. I took two good naps and ate a lot.
Mom has to watch me when she puts me down on the play blanket. Today, she put me down sitting to play with Turtle and the fishies. When she came back from the kitchen I was on my tummy with my head and shoulders in the exersaucer. How did I do it? I'm not telling! I think that there is some way I could start moving forward. I can get my knees up and under me, but then I tip forward onto my face. As soon as I learn how to get my head off the ground, off I'll go!
I got a package from Grandma and Grandpa Algera today. I let Mom open it for me because I don't know how to get tape unstuck yet. But it was addressed all to me! It had a book and a card in it. Maybe Dad will read to me about Easter tonight! I don't know that story yet, but Mom and Dad will make sure I learn it.
Now Dad and I are cuddling before bed. I like this time. Mom feeds and changes me and gives me a goodnight kiss and then Dad puts me to sleep. Ahhhh...life is good.

Grandma Day

Today I spent the day with Grandma. I had a good day, just a little sleepy. Mom and Dad were worried because I got sick and threw up last night, all over and into Mom's work shoes. All my oatmeal and milk came up. But then I ate normally at night and was OK in the morning. I think I scared Mom and Dad. I think I just had a tummy that was too full or a bad cough that made me gag. I'm going to be all right!
This is a picture of what I do when I'm left to myself. I really wanted that newspaper! Reach!!! Mom has to be very careful not to leave anything near me that I can scoot over to.
Now I must go to bed. I'm a little fussy up past my bedtime, away from Mom for so long. Dad is working his rocking magic on me. I love that, I just cuddle right up. I'll sleep well and have another day to play tomorrow. It will be inside though, because it's snowy and cold here. I'm so glad to have my warm snuggly crib.

Will paint for food

I kept pretty busy today! It started off with thunderstorms I watched from my chair. The lightning was so bright! I threw my hands out when it flashed.
After the rain, it got nice and sunny and I went for a walk with Parker. He sits in his car seat, and I can sit up in my stroller. I like this walking every day, but Mom says it's going to get cold again and we'll have to stay in for a while.
I went grocery shopping with Mom and I sat up in the cart. I had lots of admirers, but I got a little shy. I didn't know them! I was OK, because Mom was right there to tell people I needed my space.
When Dad got home, it was time to paint! I grabbed my paintbrush, but Dad told me he didn't really need my help. So I sat down for some dinner. I ate sweet potatoes without spitting them out! I licked my spoon clean! I also ate two tablespoons of oatmeal. I didn't have my cereal on the weekend because my tummy was a little upset. I missed it! I was so excited I blew a mouthful all over Mom. And the sweet potatoes smeared so nicely. I wish Mom would let me have the whole dish to paint with.
Now I'm going to go play on my play blanket while Mom makes dinner. Then it will be bedtime! I think I'll be all worn out.

Happy Day!

Hello all! I had a great day today. I started off with a very dirty pants. I worked on it in my seat while Mom washed the laundry room walls and spackled. I like when Mom says "spackle" to me. It sounded funny and I laughed out loud. Mom wouldn't let me put my hands in the spackle even though it looked so smushy and fun. After my change I sat in my diaper playing with some newspaper for a while. Paper is so much fun to play with! I grabbed it and wrinkled it and yelled. Then I got sleepy and took a nap. I enjoyed my naps today. I curled up in the corner of my crib with my sleepytime blanket and snoozed away.
When Dad got home, we went for a walk. I wore my poncho from Allison. Grandma made it from "Wiggles" yarn. It has little colorful strings all over it. It's very warm and snuggly. Thanks Grandma! I like walks. I sit up in my stroller now, and look around at everything. I heard birds chirp, dogs bark and kids play.
Dad painted the laundry room after we got back, and then rocked me to sleep while Mom made dinner. I'll rest up now so I'm ready to play some more tomorrow!

All dressed up

Today I wore my new spring dress - one of them, at least. Mom bought me one and so did Grandma. I'm well dressed. I've grown out of my first pair of shoes, though. I wore my new sandals instead. I like to look pretty - see me pose for mom! Dad just thinks her fussing is funny - he called my pants a "butt cover"! But I must look pretty for church! Especially with all the boys there, I'm the only one with frills. I did have to wear my sweater over this, because its still a little chilly. But the sun was so bright and pretty this morning. Now its rainy, but I like to watch the rain hit the window, too.
You can see that I'm feeling much better. I slept so well last night! Mom did not hear a peep from midnight until 5! I did manage to turn myself 120 degreees in my crib. I'm big enough to get the wiggles, now!
I hung out with Dad after church because Mom got called in to work. Uncle Rich gave us a ride home from great grandmas. I like to laugh at Uncle Rich. He has lots of curly hair that I can pull. Watch out! He has never had the experience of seeing me cry. Maybe someday he should do some babysitting...
Mom only had to work for 5 hours because some of the patients got better, and some didn't. So she came home for my dinner and bedtime. Now I'm snoozing, and probably won't open my eyes until my midnight snacks. So sleep well, everyone!
