Daddy's working hard!

Today, I'm letting Dad onto my post. He worked hard ripping wall paper down today. This is his biggest piece, he came out to show it to me and Mom. Grandma is going to come next week and help Mom paint the room. I can't wait to see her! Grandma has spring break this week, so she doesn't have to go to work at all. We're going to paint the room a green color. Mom says when she was little she didn't like green. She told Grandma she could not live in a house with green cupboards. But now she'll have two green rooms!
I was outside for a little while today, and said hi to the girls next door. They told me a story and drew chalk pictures on our driveway. Then it got a little too cold and I went indoors for a nap.
Now Dad and I are watching basketball; Ohio State and Georgetown. We will cheer for Ohio State because Ally picked them to win. Otherwise, Dad tells me I should not like Ohio State. I should say Go Blue! instead.
I took my naps like a good girl today. Maybe I'll be a better sleeper too. I'm still drooly and sneezy, but it's getting better. I've only used four kleenexes today. I'm still wearing a bib, though. Right now I think I'll concentrate on sitting up and waving Butterfly around. Dad is keeping me company and we're having fun!

Which dwarf am I?

Ha Ha, I'm still up. See me goofing off with Mom! Something just isn't right again tonight. I haven't been feeling so good at bedtime lately. I'm making life for Mom and Dad a little tough. I wake up at night a lot too. We're a tired family!
But during the day I'm a pretty happy kid. A little sneezy, but I play and nap and definitly eat. I'm a hungry munchkin! Mom and Dad are guessing that I'm either gassy, teethy, sneezy or growing. I'm one of those dwarfs, but not Sleeping Beauty!
I went to Ally's house today, and I saw Aunt Ellen, Grandma and Great grandma. Grandma bought Ally and me pretty matching dresses. We looked so pretty in pink! I like being out and about. Grandma was there when I woke up from my nap and I smiled so big!
Then we came home and I played with Dad for a while. Then the bedtime craziness started and I'm just now settling in a little. Don't worry, we'll get the bedtime kinks worked out, and Mom and Dad can have their happy sleeper back again. Goodnight from Sneezy!

Fuss, fuss, fuss

I had such a busy day yesterday I didn't even get a chance to sit down by the computer. Mom worked, so I went to Grandma's house. I was a good girl, just a little sleepy. I did manage to stay up a little late and play on Dad's lap.
Today I hung out with Mom. I drooled a lot and was just a little off. But I still managed to eat all my cereal. Mom tried some new stuff today, bananas. I was not quite as opposed to that as I am to green beans. Mom should keep trying, don't you think? I make Mom and Dad laugh at the faces I make when I taste new food. I put my mouth into a pucker and blow bubbles and yell. Why don't they just stick to yummy oatmeal? I have to put my hands up to keep it away!
I sat outside for a while today and watched more birds. We went for a little walk. I pulled my socks off in the stroller and put them on my hands. They seemed so much more stylish that way. We almost lost Turtle when I threw him so far he got out of the stroller. Lucky for me that Mom saw me do it and rescued him. I don't know what I'd do without Turtle to play with!
I'll keep you posted on how I'm feeling. Maybe I'll have tooth news soon? We'll see.
Time for my bath! I'm covered in banana and drool. Sticky baby!

Visiting Great Grandma

I'm feeling much better today. Still a little fever in the morning, but I'm back to my happy self. I only took two naps and I didn't want Mom to hold me. I just wanted to be in my crib.
Its warm today, and I sat outside on my blanket for a while after lunch. Mom tried to get those beans past me again, but I still don't want any of that stuff! She says she might try something like bananas or sweet potatoes next.
After my nap I went to Great grandma's house and saw Ally and Buckrey. Buckrey is Mom's cousin Liza's little boy and he is six weeks older than I am. He sits up much better than I do. I'm just learning. Ally sits and runs and talks much more than either of us. She will be two years old on May 3. I love to play with her! She points to my toes and my ears and makes me laugh.
Right now, Dad is changing my diaper and getting me into my sleeper. I finished all my cereal and now I think that we are going out for a walk! Dad is noticing that its easier to get me in and out of dresses now that I can sit up. Silly Dad, always looking for the easiest form of baby care. But he does a great job with all my little girly clothes. He never learned about dresses and shoes before I came along! I'm sitting up on the changing table laughing at him. I always make diaper changing challenging now that I can wiggle all over.
Dad is tickling me and laughing at me. I'm going to play with Dad! What a fun night.
We did go for a walk! I sat up and looked around the whole way. I bounced up and down and giggled, it was so much fun. I heard birds chirp and watched a BIG truck drive past. I waved.
Then I sat in my seat while Mom and Dad ate. Then I was getting sleepy...so Dad rocked me and now I'm snoozing in my crib. Goodnight!

Sick day

Today, I didn't feel so good. This morning I had a fever and was drooling and crying and sneezing. Mommy held me a lot and that made me feel better. I didn't really want to play, I just laid down when Mom put me on my play blanket. Mom gave me that goofy red stuff they call Tylenol. I guess it does help. I cry less and sleep better, at least. I took my naps while Mom held me. I put my head on her shoulder and snuggled.
Then when I woke up from my afternoon nap, I was happier. Mom dressed me up and we went to sit outside. It's really warm. I sat up on the soft blanket and giggled. I watched birds and the neighbor's dog. I played with Singing Pig. He's the pig from Moo Baa! And now I can hug him.
Then I had dinner, and Mom and Dad tried to feed me this soupy green stuff. Green beans they called it. I am not a fan, but I'll bet they try it again. We'll see.
Now I'm a little feverish again, and being crabby. Daddy is holding me and cuddling me. I think I'll be better soon, but this is no fun. Oh, sneezes! Dad did just get me to smile at the baby in the mirror, so maybe tonight will get better. Let's hope so!

Talking on the phone

Hello! Right now, Mom is typing for me while I talk to Grandpa on the phone. I also try to eat the phone when it gets close to me.
Today I went to church and to great grandmas house. See me in my pretty pink dress! It's almost getting too small for me because I'm getting so big. Dad took care of me again, because Mom worked another day. She took care of big sick people and Dad got the fun part of watching me.
Its warm here today! I sat outside a little bit on the back porch with Mom and Ozzy. Ozzy doesn't go outside often, not much farther than the top step. He's scared of the outside. I think I'll like the outside when I'm old enough to play out there.
Now Mom and Dad are going to try to get me to sleep. I'm feeling a little drooly and sneezy but I'm quite happy and blowing bubbles. I'm up late because weekends mess my schedule all up. Some stories might be good now. Good night, grandma and grandpa! I'm grabbing the phone for you!

Hanging out with Daddy

Today Mom had to work, so I hung out with Dad! We had fun, although I was not quite myself. I was a little fussy, and Dad soon found out why! He had the privilege of changing two HUGE stinky ones. Ha Ha...Mom and I had a plan.
Mom only had to work for 8 hours, and when she got home I gave her my biggest smile and squeal. Somehow when I do that for Mom and Dad it gets me a big hug and they call me their sweet baby girl. I think they like to know that I miss them when their gone!
Mom and I sat and played with my plastic balls. They are shaped all differently and feel very interesting when I grab them. When I push them, they roll all over! How fun!! Also, see me sitting all by myself. Its fun now that I'm learning not to tip over. Its only once in a while that I get so excited I fall down.
I didn't want to go to sleep tonight, but I finally calmed down and snoozed. Mom and Dad suspect that my teeth might be hurting me. I don't usually cry like that. But don't worry, I'll be fine. A good nights sleep will leave me smiling. Good night!

Out and about with Grandma

I was a busy girl today! After my morning nap I went to Grandma's house and we went shopping for a dressy dress for me! I rode through the mall in my stroller and looked at things, but pretty soon I got tired and fell asleep. I just rode along while Mom and Grandma found me a cute dress and coat. They tried it on me and I looked so cute! I grabbed the dress and waved it, but I would rather lay on my blanket and play in my diaper. Ally came to see us, and we had fun. She pushed me in the swing and showed me all the toys in Grandma's toybox. I showed off how I can roll over and giggle.
Dad came over after work, and we watched some basketball. Grandma has one whole bracket all right in the tournament. Go Grandma! Maybe next year I will be able to fill one out too.
Mom thought I would fall asleep on the way home, but I didn't! So she put me in my pajamas and fed me and sang to me and that did it. I'm asleep in my crib in my warm sleeper. Goodnight everyone!

Doing lunch

Today, I went out for lunch! Mom and I picked up Quizno's subs and met Dad at work. Mom and Dad ate their subs and let me play with the wrappers. Its my new favorite pastime, playing with paper that crinkles. I like to hear the noise and rip the paper. I was a good baby and sat in the stroller like a big girl. I let Mom and Dad enjoy their lunch while I checked out all the people around me. Then we went for a walk around the building. It was a little windy, but I was all bundled up. I like sitting in the sunshine!
After my lunch date, I went home for a short nap. Then Grandma, Aunt Ellen and Ally came over. I had to be awake to entertain! I like seeing Ally. She makes me smile. She checked out all the toys in my basket, and read my books. She played with my pretty beads. I laughed at her - I'm glad she liked my toys.
After everyone left, I took a good long nap. So long that I soaked through my diaper to my clothes! Mom let me play in just my diaper for a while. Mom and Dad call me House-Elf because I like being without clothes. Now I'm dressed up again and playing with Dad. He gave me more junk mail ! It crinkles and rips! I think I'll yell out loud.
I think soon Dad will feed me my cereal, and then we'll play some more before bed. I'll practice my rolling and play with my blocks. Then we'll read some stories. You all are getting to know my routines by now. Every day I get stronger and bigger and learn something new to play. Isn't life fun?

Riding around

Today, I went looking for Grandma. Because Mom didn't have her cell phone on, I didn't find her. But we stopped by her house to look, and I was demanding food, so we waited for a few minutes. Mom put me on the little rocking chair. It was fun to practice my sitting, and to take my socks off.
Then we went to do some errands. We went to get diapers - a whole big box since I go through so many. I looked at people and smiled and giggled. I love being out. We couldn't go for a walk though, because its rainy and thundering. So we went to the library, and when Dad got home we went to look at bike trailers. Dad wants to find one for me so I can go riding with him this summer.
Dad is getting me ready for bed, but I'm trying to play with the newspaper. He changed my diaper (fortunatly not a stinky one) and put my pajamas on. Now I bet we'll read books, it looks like Five Little Monkeys and Goodnight Moon. These board books aren't going to last - I like to chew on them. But by then, Mom and Dad will have them memorized (the cow says moo, the sheep says baa, three singing pigs say la la la) and won't actually need the book.
I better rest up because Ally might come over tomorrow. As soon as I finish demolishing the junk mail...

Reading Stories

Daddy and I are reading stories! I think that Mom and Dad do this to try to get me ready for bed. But as you can see, its not working! We're reading Dr Seuss' ABC. I really like it, it makes me laugh - I like the ZizzerZazzerZuzz.
Today I went to Great grandmas house and saw Ally. She made me laugh louder than I ever had before. I'm just learning to make happy noises when I'm having fun.
Mom says it will be warm here tomorrow, and maybe we can go for another walk if it isn't raining. Maybe we'll see more birds and dogs! I can't wait until I don't have to wear so much clothes when I go out.
So, it's really been another day to play, eat and nap. I ate breakfast and dinner today. I like the food, but Dad doesn't like the diapers. Last night he woke Mom up for my diaper change because I was "toxic". Silly Dad. Wait until he sees (or smells) what some green beans can do. Mom says she won't bail him out next time!
Good night everyone! Read some Dr Seuss and sleep well.

Having a Monday

Actually, I've had a pretty good day, after being awake a lot last night. I hung out with Mommy. I got my naps in and she got time to do some cleaning and some baking. I ate some oatmeal for breakfast! I think I like the rice cereal better, but I still ate it all up.
Daddy came home for lunch and I was so excited I waved my arms just like Ally does! I yelled and smiled at him. I love spending time with Daddy. We laid on the floor and I rolled around chasing my blocks.
I took a good long afternoon nap, and then got up to play. When it got to be eating time Mommy was forgetting about me! I had to fuss until she got the cereal out. I know what to expect now after my nap, my nurse and my play time. Lets eat! Mom made me some extra and I licked the bowl clean.
Then we went to see Parker! He is so small, not quite 7 pounds yet. Soon he'll be big enough to play. For now, our dads held us and I looked at him. We read "The Birthday Monsters". Our moms and dads ate dinner and talked and we were good - I sat in the high chair and Parker slept.
I fell asleep on the way home and Dad put me in bed. It's nice to be back in my routine after the weekend. Good night!

Mommy is right!

Note to Grandpa Z...Texas A&M does indeed stand for agricultural and mechanical. Daddy doubted Mommy - he says she makes answers up to sound smart. So they looked it up, and Dad had to admit that he was "less right" than Mom was on that one!

Bright eyed day

Hello everybody! I am still up (notice the time of this post)! I went to church today and I sang along. Of course, I make up my own words. I like when Mommy sings to me, and it is even more exciting when everybody sings! I was quiet when I was supposed to be though. I sat by my friends Hayden and Joshua and we did not nap even though our mommys were trying to make us. Instead I played with Turtle and chewed on his snorkle. Then I went to great grandma's house and saw Ally and everyone else. I tried to eat Daddy's cookie, but he still won't let me have that food that looks so good! I was pretty giggly all day - see the picture Mommy took of me talking with Daddy.
I saw that Grandpa left me a comment on my post from Friday! I like that! Keep the comments coming everyone. Tell me what you want to know about me and my days. Or tell me what I should know about yours.
I'm all wired up and only took two short naps today, so Mom and Dad are preparing for fussy night. But maybe I'll surprise them and be a sleepy baby soon. I like to keep them guessing. Right now I'm telling Mommy that I am done writing and must eat. I'll write again soon!

I love Saturdays!

I love Saturdays because everyone is around to pay attention to me. I woke up after a good sleep and played with Daddy until he had to go work on a project. Then I hung out with Mommy while she cleaned the house and played with me when I wanted attention. Daddy came home and we watched some basketball. Grandma picked Texas A&M to win, and they did! I bet she's glad. Grandma and Grandpa came over while I was eating dinner and Grandma fed me some of my cereal. Mom made it thicker than she has before and it was pretty yummy. Then we moved some furniture around and looked at my clothes. Mom says I'm getting so big I'm growing out of all my things. I think I just like to spit up on clean clothes.
I just had my bath and Mom read me Moo Baa LaLaLa and Find the Kitten. I like stories before bedtime. Now I'm going to sit by Dad and relax until I'm ready to get into my bed. I can hardly keep my eyes open. Goodnight everyone!

My Friday Night

I went out and about with Mom and Dad tonight. It was bright and sunny so we drove out to Holland State Park to see the water. I had never seen the lake before! It was very windy so Mom and I stayed up by the beach house. Dad told me that we'll come back when it's warmer and I'm bigger and I will love it here. Then we went home for dinner and I tried to share daddy's drink. He wouldn't let me have any though. Then I had a dirty pants so Daddy got to change me. We were silly while we cleaned up. I like to make noise when I play with Dad. Now I am resisting bed time because there are stories to read and toys to play with. Come on Dad! Lets have fun!

Busy Baby!

I've been a busy girl! Right now I'm in my high chair looking outside (my new favorite spot. I love to blow bubbles to birds). I put my feet up on the tray and giggle. I'm dictating my thoughts to Mom. Wednesday Mommy worked, so Iwent to Grandma's house. I like doing that! Grandma must wear me out because I slept really well that night.
Yesterday I went to Aunt Ellen's house while Mom went to a meeting. I like playing with Ally. She is so big and can do things I wish I could do. It must be fun to walk around and talk grown up talk and eat grown up food. At night Mom went to Meijers and she took me to see the birds in the cages! I yelled at them and they chirped back!
Yesterday we got new couches. Mom thinks they look much better than the old ones. I better be careful not to spit up to much on them. See my picture! I didn't want to sit pretty, I wanted to roll around. I can do that now, and its fun to be able to move to different spots and to roll after Ozzy.
Ahhh...Sara has gotten to sleepy to continue, so down for a nap she goes. What a good baby. She's starting to be a good little scheduled one, and last night slept from 8:30 to 3:30. And then returned to sleep until 6! It was almost a normal night's sleep for me! Ben and I enjoy every minute with her, even the crabby ones - which really don't happen all that often. I remember back when she was a newborn, I was afraid that I was raising a child who would be a permanent night shifter, but she's learning.
Well, good day to all. Perhaps after the nap another post? We'll see what cute things occur and keep you all updated.

YouTube video

Grandmas and Grandpas...you need to log into your YouTube account for the video links to work. Anyone else who would like to see...sign up on YouTube and send an email to Mom with your user name and we'll get you on the list.

I'm an online baby!

My first web post! Pretty good since I am just 5 months old. Mommy helps me with the typing. I thought you might like to hear about my days since mommy and daddy seem to think I do so many interesting things!

Today the weather is nice (almost 60 degrees!). Mom and I went for a stroller ride. I saw dogs! And neighbors! I talked and smiled to everybody. The sun was very bright on my eyes at first so Mom put the sun shade up, but when I got used to it I loved it. When Mom was not looking I took off my hat, shoes and socks. After we got home, we went next door to watch the girls jump on the trampoline. I got a ride in the swing! I'm going to like spring.

Dad was home for lunch. I sat in the high chair and looked outside. Birds come to the feeder next door and Ozzy and I like to watch them fly around.

After my nap, I'll go to great-grandma's house and see Grandma, Aunt Ellen and Ally. What a day.
