A birdy friend

Meet my birdy friend! She came to sit by my window today. She chirps and fluffs her feathers. I was amazed. Mommy sat by the window with me so I could see her. I think she is just learning to fly. When she finally flew away from me she flew right into the neighbor's house! Mommy checked on her for me and she is just fine. She just needs to work at it a little more!
It was another hot day here. I sat outside in the morning and listened to the birds and scooted around on my blanket. I took good naps and had lots to eat today. I was very talkative. We took a walk to the park this afternoon and I watched kids on the playground. I like to go outside and see things. I point and babble and Mommy tells me all about the things I see.
Daddy went to play disc golf tonight and he just got home! I'm rubbing my eyes so he is going to give me snuggle to sleep. These summer days tire me out! Mommy says the birdy is going to sleep and so should I.

Summer fun

See me goofing off with Daddy? That's what I like to do! The bigger I get, the more I like to play and talk. When Daddy comes home, I wave my arms and reach for him. Let's play, Dad! He has to drop what he's doing and come over to me or I get sad.
I had a busy day yesterday and then Daddy took the computer away to his deacon's meeting. Mommy was to tired to blog when he got home. I had a good day on Tuesday. It was warm and I played outside on my blanket. Mommy took me for a walk to the park, and I sat and watched other kids until it was time to go home and get sleepy. I needed a little Tylenol to help out because my teeth are bugging me. I'm a drool monster!
Today I woke up bright and early. Mom didn't feel so good, so Daddy watched me for a while so she could sleep. She was not in the mood to play much today. We spent time sitting out on the blanket. I like to climb on Mommy when she sits by me. I went in my pool and splashed around. It was almost 90 degrees today. I think it was the hottest day of my life! Splashing felt good. I threw my ducks around and scooted around and around the pool. Then I came inside to enjoy my dinner of milk and peas. When I was done, Daddy came home. We played and laughed. Mom and Dad put me in my chair while they ate. They gave me puffs to play with. I like to pick them up and throw them, but I don't think they taste very good. After dinner, I played for a while and then had my bath! I tried to stand up in the tub but Mom wouldn't let me. I have to stay sitting so I don't whack my head. I do enough face planting when I try to crawl. Silly Mom, always trying to keep me safe!
After my bath, we sat outside on the porch for a while. I talked to Grandma and played with my pig. I got tired, so Mommy gave me my snack and snuggled me into my crib. I was just too tired to argue. I'm snoozing now! Good night!

Memorial Day!

I had another first holiday today! It was Memorial Day. Mommy had to work, because people get sick even when it's a holiday. I hung out with Daddy, and you know I love to do that!
I woke up early to hang out with Mommy a little while before she left for work. She put me in the big bed by Daddy who did not want to wake up! I had to pat him to get some attention. But then I fell asleep just a little while later.
After nap, we went to do some errands. And then we went to Ally's house! See us playing in her backyard! She is my favorite cousin. We have so much fun. Grandma says we are so cute! I watched her run around and play. Soon I'll be able to keep up. While we played, Daddy, Uncle Nate and Grandma scraped wallpaper. Aunt Ellen is going to paint Ally's room and Gus's room. She'll be busy!
Then we came home and Daddy started grilling chicken for dinner. I had sweet potatoes and milk. Mommy came home and I was so happy to see her! She played with me and then put me in my pjs, gave me my bedtime snack and handed me off to Daddy for one last snuggle. Now I'm snoozing! I think I like holidays!

My weekend

Another busy weekend! I hung out with Daddy on Saturday. I like spending days with Daddy. I babble and laugh. See me trying to get to Daddy? I know there must be a way to move because Mom and Dad keep telling me to crawl over to them. So far, I can just rock back and forth. When I move my hand or foot I fall flat on my stomach.
Saturday night we went to Aunt Ellen and Uncle Nate's house. I played with Ally. All the big people ate steaks on the grill and Daddy's birthday cake. At night I went to sleep in the packnplay while Mom and Dad played games. Daddy won Settlers! Uncle Nate says that's because Mom and Aunt Ellen were picking on him.
We got up and got all ready for church this morning. I was a good girl in the nursery. I played with the plastic fruit. It was so much fun to wave around. Then we went to Great grandma's house and I smiled and laughed at everyone. I took a good long nap before church at night, and then I didn't really want to go to sleep tonight. My dinner of milk and peaches wound me up! Finally Daddy convinced me to snuggle in. Yawn...what a weekend!

I can do pull ups!

I did a big girl thing today! I pulled myself up! It was fun, and I wanted to do it over and over again.
I knew it was going to be a good day. I slept very well for Mommy and woke up grinning. I ate my big breakfast and then I sat in the sunbeams by my window. See me waving my rattle ball? I shook it so fast it made a blur on the picture.
I took good long naps and ate a lot today. Mom and I went for a little walk. Daddy came home early and let me and Mom get a good nap in.
After nap, we went to visit Parker and his Mom and Dad. I grabbed Parker's socks and pulled them off. I don't like socks and I wanted to make sure that Parker could wiggle his toes free, too. I really wanted to get to Parker, so I grabbed his Mommy's hand and pulled myself right up onto my feet! Mom and Dominique were amazed! Daddy grabbed me and made me do it again. He says that I'm a strong baby girl and tried to make me take steps. Slow down, Daddy! I can only handle one amazing new skill at a time.

I have just finished my dinner and snack. I had squash. It's not my favorite, but I ate it all up! Daddy is snuggling me and my eyes are heavy. I worked out today! Good night, everybody!

Sara studies

See me studying? Some of the stuff in Mommy's book was a little over my head. I'll keep trying, though! Mommy was reviewing some stuff on heart disease. She thinks that she will work on taking her CCRN exam this summer. So I sat and Mommy taught me about coronary arteries and heart attacks. Daddy says she'll warp me if she doesn't watch out. But I like the colorful drawings in the big thick book! Someday I'll have my own thick books.
It was another very warm day today. We sat outside and I swung in the hammock and put my feet in the pool. I took good naps and ate a lot. So don't worry, Grandma! I had lots of wet diapers and a big stinky one. When I was at Aunt Ellen's and Grandma's yesterday I only ate two bottles. I guess I just wasn't very hungry. I was a little grumpy when I got home and I kept Mommy and Daddy up a lot last night. Mom worried a bit, but today I was sunshiny and playful. I guess I just had one of those days on Wednesday.
I went for a nice walk with Parker when it cooled down enough for our Moms to take us for our stroller walk. I waved my hands and talked to everyone we saw. There were a lot of people and kids out for bike rides and walks. It feels like summer and we're all enjoying it!
I just finished my bedtime snack and Daddy has cuddled me and put me in my crib. I'm relaxing but not quite asleep yet. Soon I will have to give in and snooze...hopefully much better than last night!

I got in the pool!

See me splashing around! It was really hot today. Mom borrowed Ally's little pool for me to splash in. I liked it! Mom even stuck her toes in because the water felt good. Now I'm out of the pool and all snuggled into my bed. I told Mommy she better catch everyone up on the happenings around here.
We were pretty busy last night. I went to Daddy's softball game. They lost (11-13). But Daddy scored two runs and had an RBI. Mommy is teaching me all about softball playing and scoring since Grandpa Z says I have softball legs. I stayed up to shake my rattle for Daddy and his team, and then I fell asleep and slept very well.
It really did feel like summer today. I was a little cranky in the morning until I took a good long nap. Then I was cheery and wanted to play and go out. Mom and I went to get Daddy his birthday present. He will be 29 years old tomorrow! I'll have to give him lots of snuggles and grins.
After shopping we went to Great-grandma's house and saw Grandma and Aunt Ellen and Allison. I had fun! I always do when I see Ally! After a good visit, we stopped at Grandma's house to pick up the pool.
When we got home, Dad huffed and puffed and blew up my pool! He filled it with nice warm water. Mom changed me into my bathing suit and I went right in. I splashed and scooted. Dad brought my ducky collection out for me to play with. The water felt so good. I was hot from my ride home. Mom and Dad splashed with me and took lots of pictures.
I stayed in the water until I was so tired. Mommy took me out and got me into my pjs. She fed me my dinner and my eyes started to get heavy. I curled right up with sleepytime blanket and went to sleep. What a day!

See my shoes!

I was a busy baby today! I got up early this morning and was very smiley. We went to see Aiden's baptism, so I saw lots of my family this morning. I saw Uncle Rich and Grandpa and Mom's aunts and uncles. Of course, Ally was my favorite person there. But I smiled at Aiden and patted him, too. I was a good girl in nursery, but got a little sad when Mom had been gone just a little too long. I get worried when I see other kids get picked up and Mom has not come for me yet! It's good she comes and gets me as soon as she can. No one is quite as good as Mommy or Daddy when I'm tired, hungry or lonely.
After church, we went to see Grandma and Grandpa. I got clothes! Aunt Ellen found them at garage sales. Ally said they are "cute". See me modeling my new shoes and outfit! I like to pull my shoes off and wave them around. I chew on them so they get all soggy.
I was a good girl in nursery at night too, until the end. Then I was sleepy and just wanted my pipe and Mommy. Mommy found my pipe for me, but I still tried to grab Hayden's. I wanted one for each fist!
Now I'm snuggled in bed and just peeping and whining a little bit. Mom and Dad know it won't be long before I'm all the way to sleep. It's just been a busy day and I'm unwinding. Good night!

Relaxing on the weekend

See me swinging in the hammock! Daddy hung it up outside today for Mommy and me. I liked twirling in it and swinging. I like warm weather and summertime!
I had a good day today. I slept in a little bit. Mommy and Daddy were very appreciative. I got up and took only a few minutes to eat my cereal all up! Then I played with my new ball and my blocks while Daddy worked on the boat and Mommy cleaned the kitchen. I had a good morning nap, and then hung out with Daddy. We played peekaboo and junk mail ripping. Those are some of my favorite games!
After my afternoon sleep, we went to the store to get stuff to grill for dinner. I sat in the cart and laughed when Daddy pushed me faster. Now I can make a lot of noise when I'm excited. When we got home, Daddy started up the grill. He wouldn't let me sit by it. Instead, I got to sit in the hammock! I moved to my blanket when Mommy went inside to get the rest of dinner ready. I didn't have steak, I had peaches. But that's OK because I don't have any teeth!
After dinner I got a bath! Mom washes me up and Daddy watches. I squeal and splash and wave the washcloth. I don't want to get out when Mommy says I'm clean! She lets me play a little bit before I get in to my warm pjs and snuggle up for a story. Tonight we read "The Itsy Bitsy Spider".
I've had my nighttime snack, and now Daddy is cuddling me. I like my bedtime routine. I'm snuggled in for a good nights sleep!

Cute hair!

Wow, I've been a busy baby who has tired out my Mommy. She is so behind on my blogging. Mommy! Keep up!
Mom worked on Wednesday, and I got to go to Aunt Ellen's house. That's right! I got to spend a day with Ally. I had so much fun. I laughed and giggled and played with her.
Then Thursday I stayed home and played and napped in the morning. In the afternoon, I went with Mommy to learn about IV pumps. I was very interested. They let me push a button that beeped! I sat on the floor and played with my rattle until Mom was done. We went to see Grandma after that. She was not feeling well and we wanted to be sure she was OK.
I slept pretty well at night and woke up cheery this morning. In the afternoon we went to see Great grandma. She likes when I come over to visit! I like to play with the fun toys she has and to roll around on the living room floor. I was rolling and scooting all over. Grandma says I'm almost ready to crawl. I really, really want to!
I started to get sleepy eyed, so Mommy loaded me into my seat. We went to garage sales while I snoozed. We found cute little blue clothes for Gus. I got a pink CareBear, a ball that bounces, a green dress and colorful bows for my hair. See my new hairdo! My hair is still a little too short and soft for pretty bows to stay in. Be patient, Mommy. Soon you will be able to fuss with my hair.
Now I'm settling in for the night. I just had my night time snack. I'm peeping a little from my crib, but my eyes are to heavy to stay open for long. Good night!

Playing peekaboo

Mom and I had a silly fun day today. It was warm and humid and we sat by the breeze from the window and waited for it to rain.
I was a happy baby this morning. I ate my usual big breakfast and sat and played for a long time before my morning nap. I played with Old MacDonald and with empty pop bottles. After nap, I was little fussy. I tried to play, but I was grumpy. Mom gave me some Tylenol and that seemed to help. We played upstairs in my room while Mom put my clean laundry away. See me playing peekaboo! Mom throws my blanket over my head and I try to get out. When I can see Mom again, I laugh and yell! I wiggle around until she does it again! Then I like to try to stick my pacifier in Mom's mouth. I like it so much that I want to share! Finally I wound down for afternoon nap.
When I woke up, Daddy was home! I was so excited I forgot all about the dinner Mom was trying to feed me. I wanted to play! So we did while Mommy went to get groceries. After that, I ate my dinner all gone and then sat by the window to watch the rain pour down.
Now it's bath time. I have ducky, so I'm all ready to go! Let's get clean!

Still up!

Sillly Mom thought she had me down to sleep early tonight. What was she thinking! I wanted to sit up and wait until Daddy got home from his deacon's meeting. It's warm outside, so Mom and I pulled out a lawn chair and watched cars go by. We were waiting for a red truck!
I was a good baby today, of course. Am I ever really bad? I got up a little early so I hung out with Daddy while he got ready for work. Then Mom had to get up and we had a big yummy breakfast. I took good naps today and I ate a new food, bananas! I only ate a half a jar. I like peaches and pears better, but this wasn't bad.
I played and was very talkative today. I scooted around to get to the toys I wanted. Parker was going to come over to play with me, but he was not feeling well and had to stay home with his Mom and Dad. He had a busy weekend! Feel better soon, Parker!
Later, Mom and I went for a walk with Parker and his Mom. He was sleepy, and so was I. I didn't stay asleep, though! Right now, I'm sitting with Daddy talking to my big bear and playing with my musical fish. Dad keeps calling Mom over to see what I'm doing. I'm being very cute. Being this cute should tire me out soon, and then I'll curl up for another good night's sleep.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to my Mommy and Grandma's. Daddy and I got Mommy some flowers and nice cards. Mommy read them and gave us big hugs.
I got up early today to eat my big breakfast and to get ready for church. I had a new white dress with ruffles. Mommy would have taken my picture, but I drooled sweet potato all over myself before she thought of it. We went to see Parker be baptized. I didn't see because I was in the nursery having fun. Parker was all dressed up in his baptism gown. He and his Mom came into the nursery later because he was to fussy to stay in church.
Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house and saw everyone who was there for second Sunday coffee. I was good about being handed around for a while, but then I just wanted to sit by Mommy. I ate some sweet potatos, sat in the swing and played with Allison. I fell asleep on the drive home and took a good long nap after all of that!
After church at night, Daddy picked up my new picnic table! My friend Rhonda at church found it for me at her friend's house. I like it! I can whack on this table very well because its just right for my reach!
Mom and I just finished reading "Guess How Much I Love You." Now I'm being a little fussy for Daddy before my sleep. Something is just not quite right, but I'm sure Mommy and Daddy will make it better. Good night!

My first parade!

What a day it's been today! When I woke up this morning, Daddy had already left to run the Riverbank Run. He finished it in 2:23:10. Way to go Daddy! His time was a little slower that he wanted, but I've been taking up some of his training time. He let me wear his finishing medal. I had fun waving it. This year was the 30th year this race has been run. The first one was ten days before Daddy was born!
When Daddy got home, we all took a nap. Even Mommy and Daddy need a nap sometimes! After nap, we walked downtown to see the parade. It was so much fun! Mom and Dad found me a spot in the shade and they sat in the sun. I heard bands! I liked the drums. I bounced and waved my hands. I saw horses and flags and fire trucks. It was so exciting I yelled and babbled. Then I fell asleep on the walk home. Daddy put my seat down and I snoozed in the stroller until dinner time.
I just finished my dinner of oatmeal and green beans. Now I'm working on a stinky pants before my bath. Mommy just told me that I'm getting a bath! I'm holding on to ducky. It's my job to bring him upstairs and put him in the water. We're going to have fun!

Michigan baby!

See my outfit Grandma found at Target! I'm a Michigan fan for real now. I know that it is pink instead of maize and blue, but it has the big M on the hat, shirt and shorts! I wore it just long enough for Daddy to see me, and then I made such a stinky diaper it overflowed onto my shorts. Oops!
I had another good day today and night last night. I let Mom get seven hours of sleep! She feels like a new woman, she says. I woke up giggling and ate my big breakfast. Then we played until nap time.
After nap, we picked up Grandma and Great-grandma and went to see Aunt Ellen and Allison. Ally has not been feeling well the last few days, but she felt much better today. I had fun playing with her drums. They play music when I whack them! How much fun! I love to whack things.
We left and went to Target after that. Mom had to get diapers and baby food for me. Allison got some summer sandals. She needs good shoes to protect her feet since she can run around all over.
When I got home I ate my oatmeal and peas. Daddy came home and we took a ride to Grand Rapids to get his stuff for the Riverbank Run tomorrow. I had a fun stroller ride through the park in downtown. I shook my rattle the whole way! Everyone cheer for Daddy tomorrow! The race starts at 8:00.
Now Mom is making Daddy his pasta dinner. She got sauce from the store this time. It doesn't have baking soda in it. I'm sitting on the floor in my pjs playing with some of the stuff from Daddy's race packet. See me wave the papers!
I'll sit here and enjoy the warm sun for just a little while longer. Let's hope I have yet another good nights sleep! Mom will be so proud!

Smiles for Daddy!

What a nice day I had today! It was sunny and I could go outside! I slept so well last night. I woke up and spent a lot of the morning eating. I was so hungry! I had milk and oatmeal and peaches. Yum! Then it was time for a good morning nap.
After my nap I ate some lunch. Then I went outside to sit on my blanket. Ellie, Anna and Mackenzie came over to say hi. They can ride their bikes up and down the driveway. Maybe next summer I can run with them. For now, I just sit and giggle. I played outside until Mommy could tell I was getting tired. We went inside to snuggle and read "But Not the Hippopotamus".
Daddy came home to watch me while Mom went to work for a few hours. Some people she works with got sick, so she helped out a little. I ate a big dinner for Daddy, and we played. See me on my play blanket? Daddy remembered to take my picture for you today. I like to play with my mirror and my toes while I'm sitting up. I'm starting to scoot around a little bit, too. Mom and Dad have to watch me close! I got myself all the way from the window to under the kitchen table this morning. This moving around business has possibilities!
Mom is letting me play with junk mail while she types this. Soon I'll have my snack and snuggle to bed. What a good day it's been!

Happy sleepy day

I was a sleepy sheep today! I slept so well last night! Mom and I got six straight hours of sleep. I wonder why I got so many hugs and smiles in the morning. Mommy appreciates her sleep! Maybe my fun bath wore me out?
I went to Grandma's house today. I ate lots and lots and took big long naps. I had peaches and green beans, and my oatmeal. And three big bottles! Give me food!
Then Daddy came to get me. We played with a toy mirror. I love mirrors. Mommy says I liked them when I was smaller, and now I have rediscovered how much fun they are.
I slept a little until Mommy got home, and now I'm working on getting back to sleep. I'm a little fussed. But don't worry, sleep will find me! Maybe I'll be a good sleeper again! Why not?

Tulip Time trip

Hello all! I had a busy day, and now I'm resisting my bedtime! I'm rolling around and grinning with Daddy. He makes me squeal even though he is trying his best to make it quiet time.
I did go to Daddy's softball game yesterday. His team won! 15 to 11. Daddy got some good hits. I cheered and shook my rattle. I was all wrapped up in my fuzzy pink blanket. Daddy said I looked like a pink cupcake. I went right to bed when we got home and slept so well!
Then today I rode with Mommy to drop some stuff off at work. I smiled for everyone and took a nap on the way home. We spent the day at home napping and sitting out in the warm sunshine. I ate a new food today! Mommy gave me prunes. I liked them, even though Daddy said it looked like nasty barbecue sauce baby food. I ate them all up! I'm trying all the varieties of Gerber foods.
After dinner, Mom and Dad took me downtown to Tulip Time. We walked through the parks and looked at tulips. I got my picture taken! There were lots of little babies and kids getting pictures taken. We must look cute by the flowers. Mom and Dad got something to eat, and I spilled Dad's Coke all over my stroller. I got a little sticky. I had to have a bath when we got home because I was so dirty! But I was happy that I got to play in the park.
Now I'm all clean and just getting ready for my sleep. Good night!

Cutest baby ever?

"Look!" said Daddy. "She is just the cutest baby ever!" Do you think that Daddy loves me? I think so. Then he went and took this silly picture while we were playing on the play blanket. He is playing with me while Mommy makes dinner. But she messed up! She put baking soda in her pasta sauce instead of cornstarch. It made a foamy mess. Poor Mom. Dad is laughing at her. This mistake puffed up, so it evens out her cream puff incident. Mom is a bit grumpy about it.
Yesterday was a busy day for me. I went to church, and to great grandma's and to visit Mommy at work! I got to see all the nurses she works with. They all had stethoscopes I could grab for! And they all had green clothes like Mom's. I was smiley for everyone until I got sleepy and Daddy took me home. How fun!
I had a great day today. It's warm and sunny. I sat out on my blanket in the afternoon and went for a stroller ride later. Mom makes me sit in the shade, though. She says I can't get a sunburn! I can live with that, I suppose. I sat and yelled at the birds. It's so much fun to be outside with them.
Now I'm in my Pooh pjs. I ate my oatmeal and green beans, and I'll probably take a snooze soon. Daddy has a softball game tonight, and Mom and I will go with to watch if I'm in a good mood. I usually am!

Saturday fun

Happy Saturday! I started out fussy for Daddy today. He was trying to let Mommy sleep in a little, but I was cranky and woke her up. I fussed and squirmed and played a little until my long morning nap. Daddy tried to distract me by letting me help put the sink into the laundry room. It didn't really work so well.
When I woke up, I was in a much better mood. I played with Mommy while Daddy mowed. When Daddy came in and got cleaned up we played with his sock! I tried to eat it!
Then we took a drive to Grandma's house. I played and smiled. Grandma gave me some clothes and hats that she found at garage sales. I had fun pulling the hats off my head.
We went home and I took my afternoon nap. I got up and ate a bowl of oatmeal AND a helping of green beans. Yes! Green beans! I guess they aren't so bad. I even smiled and opened wide for them! I guess Mom wins.
Dad went for a run while I got ready for bed. He's getting ready to run the River Bank Run next Saturday. Go Daddy!
Mom's work out was giving me a bath. I had fun! I splashed and laughed until I was all clean! Mommy snuggled me into my pjs. I watched Mom and Dad eat and then Daddy snuggled me down to sleep. I resisted a little, but it was just no use. Now I'm in my crib sleeping like a baby!

What's in this box?

Legos! Well, not the real thing. Those are too small for me. These are Duplos. They're too big to swallow. I had fun pulling them out of the box and scattering them. Daddy was very excited that I liked to play with them.
I was a good girl today. I ate a good breakfast and took a good nap. When I woke up from my nap, I was at Aunt Ellen's house! Mom got called in to work. I got to see Ally! She napped while I was there, but I only did a short nap.
Then Dad picked me up and brought me home. He got to change a stinky one, and got me all ready for bed. We had fun playing! I laughed and talked and told Daddy all my stories. He got the Duplos out just before Mom got home. I stayed up until I could see Mommy. Then I started yawning, so Mom snuggled me and fed me my bedtime snack. I peeped a little from my crib, but soon I'll be snoozing. I'm all ready for my weekend!

This little piggy had none

Roast beef, that is. Mommy and Daddy wanted to have Arby's for dinner tonight. So they stopped by the southside Arby's and tried to order a roast beef sandwich. Arby's was all out of roast beef! Mommy and Daddy tell me that is very funny.
I had a very good, sunny day today. I played in my crib for a while in the morning until I just had to have my breakfast. Then I played with the curtain and with Ozzy until napping time. I got up for more play time sitting my my window. After my second nap, I got to go outside. Daddy went with friends to play disc golf at Brewer Park in Byron Center. Mommy and I went with, and I sat out on the grass. Brewer Park is an interesting place. I talked to some people who had some funny looking pictures on their skin. I learned the word tattoos! They said I was a cute little baby. I grinned and stuck close to Mom.
For my dinner, I ate a whole jar of pears! Then Mom brought me upstairs and gave me something to drink. I snuggled up into my bed while Mom and Dad ate their Arby's. They ended up going to the other Arby's in Holland to get what they wanted.
Happy birthday to Allison! Today is her birthday, even though her party was yesterday. She is two! Yay!
Good night, everyone. I'm still sqeaking a little in my crib and having some trouble getting to my good sleep. Mom is going to go tuck me in again. Sleep well, everyone!

Alllison had a party today! She will be two years old tomorrow. Happy Birthday to my favorite cousin! I like being around her. She makes me giggle so loud, even when she tips me over!
I went to Grandma's house today while Mom worked. I was good for her! I ate my meals and took my naps. Then we went to Ally's house for the party! All her grandmas and grandpas were there, and the aunts and uncles. Even great-grandparents. She got fun presents and had fun opening them. I watched and was very interested! She let me play with her ball. It was big and green and bounced! See the picture of Ally on her chair from Grandma and Grandpa? She's reading a book from Uncle Rich. I gave her a doodle pad and some clothes.
Then everyone sang to Ally and she blew out the candle on her cake. She wanted to stick her fingers in the frosting, but Aunt Ellen wouldn't let her. Silly Moms. I would have done the same thing. Uncle Rich gave me a bite of cake and Daddy gave me a lick of ice cream. I liked it!
Mom tried to put me to sleep in Ally's pack-n-play. I wasn't having any of that plan! I wanted to play and giggle. So Mom and Dad finally had to pack me up and take me home. I snuggled on Mom's shoulder for a few minutes when she pulled me out of the car seat and then snuggled right up with my blanket. What a day!

Silly Sara

Yes, today I was a silly Sara. Everything was just so funny to me today! I giggled and squealed. And then I saw Ally and was so excited I just didn't know which way to look!
I didn't get my walk last night. It was a little rainy. So we went right to bathtime. I love bathtime now! When I was little I didn't like it at all. But now I get all excited when I see Mommy fill the tub and put my ducky in. I wiggle and kick my feet. I love to splash and to put the washcloth on my head. I pouted when it was time to get out. But it was good to put my warm pjs on and snuggle through my story.
I slept OK, even though there was loud thunder last night. It only woke me up once. I got up early and was done with my breakfast before Dad even left for work!
I took a long nap in the morning and then I went with Mom to get a birthday present for Ally! I'm going to her birthday party tomorrow. How exciting! When we got home, Ozzy was wandering around. Mom gave me one of his strings and I played with him. I sat on Mom's lap and waved the string. Ozzy was on the floor and he jumped up at the string and batted at it with his paws. It was so much fun!
Then we went to Great grandma's house. I saw Grandma and Ally. I get so excited when I see Ally. I squeal and giggle and reach for her. See us sitting on Grandma's lap! Do you think that there will be room for 'Gus' there too? I think so.
Then we went home and I watched Dad paint his patch job in the laundry room. It looks nice! I ate my oatmeal and then made a stinky one for Daddy. I snoozed a little until my bedtime feeding and snuggle. Mommy put me in my crib and I snuggled up with sleepytime blanket. Good night!
